IN MEMORY YET NOT FORGOTTEN: PART IV

The baby girl
Domestic violence can be dangerous. I had not witnessed the incident, but my mother told me how an argument with my father escalated into a physical fight. My father had stepped on her stomach several times, and she became ill. The baby, born prematurely, later died. I love my father, and I could imagine him harm my mother and the baby. I love my mother. Children get confused as to who to be against whenever a sad situation like this one happens. It was hard to say if my father had any regret for the outcome of his uncontrolled anger. I still sympathize with my mother as I write this incident. A family friend, Samuel Kamungu, gave them a burial place in his land near Kabuku village, Limuru.
