The right clothing for church or religious occasions is an issue debited in some families, mine too, as to the decent way to dress and hairstyle. In my youth in revival Christian group I belonged, the short hair and head covering and dress below knees was the accepted style. In a simple, easy, and understanding reasoning, I resold the issue with my children and grandchildren. I cited the creation in the bible-God made man and a woman and put them in the garden of Aden. And they did not wear clothing until they ate the forbidden fruit from the tree of knowing good and evil and sinned. Adam and Eve, after eating the fruit, became knowledgeable and realized they were naked. And became ashamed of their nakedness and made clothing of leaves from the trees. God visited them in the garden and saw them wearing clothing made from leaves that would dry up and fall of their body within few days; God made them durable clothing from the skin (Genesis 3:21, NIV). And people learned from God how to make clothes and made it a business.
The people became creative and made fabrics and fashions and made a lot of money from the customers. The business people created different garments for different occasions to elaborate the profit. For instance, the swimsuit, judging sweats, gardening wear, school uniform, work uniforms, sleeping wear, cleaning clothes, painting wear, party dress, etc.
Some religious groups took to them what decent to wear. Therefore, people fell victim to the business people’s idea and agreed to have worn each event a certain way. Therefore, what is missing in your closet is the church dress agree up upon by your church group, buy or ask the parents to buy you one for the purpose. And please note in future the group you join, its agreed-upon wear fall the suit. Whenever I am invited, I ask whoever is inviting me how I should dress up, said to them. The children and grandkids took it positively from the understanding point of view. God didn’t say what color or material design fits for church occasion. The people make consensus on what is decent for what occasion and benefits the business for profitable purposes. Instead of buying one fitting for all different events, one buys many fittings for many different events to attends—my takeaway-explain to kids or adults the reason behind your DOS and DON’TS.
